Nice pair
With the Queensland border looing like re-opening next month please consider making your hardstand bookings well in advance. We want to help everyone…but it’s not helpful if you call the day before you want to be lifted out! Also please give us plenty of notice if you would like a marina berth. Demand is heavy right now so please book well in advance.
Full again…..
Hardstand Area 1 is full again this week. So is Hardstand Area 2. If you need space call the marina so we can book you time. Even under grey skies the daytime temps are in the 20’s so it’s ideal working weather.
Looking west…..
Spectacular sunsets in this part of the world as we lead up to the shortest day of the year….! Nature puts on her best even in grim times.
Catching our breath…….
Look how tidy the yard is!!! For the first time in weeks we’ve had time to clean up. The next onslaught begins tomorrow!!!
Empty berths…great to see….
As a marina owner this is not what you want…empty berths. BUT WE LOVE it….the boats are out for the long weekend, fishing, cruising, whale watching…or simply relaxing at anchor. And why not? Look at the colour of the sky…and the water. And when the boats come home.….a good safe anchorage at Yamba Marina.
Welcome home……..
On this day in 1988 Kay Cottee sailed into Sydney Harbour to become the first woman in world history to sail alone, non-stop and unassisted around the world. Kay spent 189 days at sea and her voyage covered more than 22,000 nautical miles. She was named 1988 Australian of the Year and became an Officer of the Order of Australia amongst a host of world-wide awards and honors. Kay Cottee AO, a great Australian.
Winter wonderland…….
What more is there to be said…the first day of winter and Yamba Marina is at the middle of a beautiful rainbow.
Lets hope it is a very good sign for all. Stay safe and happy Australia.
Back in action…..
The weather is stunning. We’ve had some big seas this week but now the waves are settling down and the charter fishing boats are ready to go. Reel Time Fishing Charters and Whale Watching is back in business. Give them a call. Just look at the colour of the water…and they sky!!!.
Busy week…..
With overall restrictions easing, activity has been picking up…the yard is active all week and more and more boats are moving around. May the world return to some-form of normal soon!!!!
Seeing double….look closely…..
